ET: the Extra-Terrestrial is a film directed by Steven Spielberg and released in June 1982. The plot of E.T. is that while collecting flora samples, alien botanists, trying to flee from U.S. government agents, mistakenly leave one of their own behind. Escaping out of the forest and hiding in a toolshed, E.T. is discovered by Elliot (a 10 year old Earth child) and becomes friends with him. E.T. now has to find a way to get back home.
