Indiana Jones, Dr. Henry "Indiana" Walton Jones, Jr., Ph.D, is a fictional professor of archaeology and an adventurer created by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. He is known for wearing a flight jacket, fedora, and his whip. His first debut appearance is in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark [1981], set in the year 1936, where he took on the Nazis trying to recover the Ark of the Covenant. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [1984] (a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, taking place about one year earlier) has Indiana Jones trying to save children from a cult in India. Next came Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade [1989], taking place in 1938, where is pitted once again pitted against the Nazis searching now for the Holy Grail. The last movie Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Kingdom [2008], taking place in 1957, now has Indy up against agents of the Soviet Union searching for the crystal skull.
