Super Mario Bros. 3 is a video game for the NES first released in Japan in 1988. In this installment of the series, Mario and Luigi have been asked by Princess Peach to help seven the rulers of the Mushroom Kingdom by defeating Bowser's children (Larry Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr., Wendy O. Koopa, Roy Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Lemmy Koopa, and Ludwig von Koopa) and retreive the sceptors the Kooplalings have stolen.

Besides the power ups from the orginial Super Mario Game (Power Mushroom, Fire Flower, and Star), Super Mario 3 added some extra power ups (Super Leaf [Raccoon Mario], Frog Suit [Frog Mario], Tanooki Suit [Tanooki Mario], and Hammer Suit [Hammer Mario]) and to help him and Luigi with their mission.
