The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror films began with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, created in 1973 but released in 1974, by Tobe Hooper. The original film had three sequels,The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986), Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (aka Return of the Texasa Chainsaw Massacre)(1994). In 2003 there was a remake that was loosely based of the first one. Then in 2006, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning came out. This is a prequel to the 2003 remake.

Leatherface (known as Thomas Brown Hewitt in the 2003 remake) is the main villain of the series.
